Following the success of previous series, Clear Cut Group were chosen to deliver post production for the latest series of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, most recently with Labour Leader, Sir Keir Starmer.
The programmes deliver a distinctive style with consistent stylistic transitions across the series to signpost changes in topic while maintaining the pace and dynamism of the content. Using Symphony, combined with the Baselight plug-in, Online Editor Dan Preston ensured that the studio content delivered a glossy and warm look, while the key VT sequences contrasted with a nostalgic filmic quality that reflects the programme’s signature style.
Meanwhile the audio team used ‘Field Recorder’ in ProTools, re-conforming the original audio rushes to bring to life Piers, his guest, and audience members, allowing intricate control over edits giving the show its signature style humour, without missing a single word or secret from the personality! The VTs burst with energy and carry the audience through the guest’s life and career, mixed louder than the interview sections to bring rhythm and high levels of emotion to move the interview forward.
Each episode is tailored to reflect the personality interviewed, with the recognisable and unique glossy style of the Life Stories format to arrive at the programme we know and love.
