Following the success of previous series, Clear Cut Group were chosen to deliver post production for series 12 of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.
The programmes deliver a distinctive style with consistent stylistic transitions across the series to signpost changes in topic while maintaining the pace and dynamism of the content. Using Symphony, combined with the Baselight plug-in, Online Editor Jamie Home ensured that the glossy studio look delivered a warm and nostalgic look, both for the studio and VT sequences, ensuring the archive footage has a filmic quality that reflects the programmes signature style.
Meanwhile Dubbing Mixer, Rob Morgan used ‘Field Recorder’ in ProTools, re-conforming the original audio rushes to bring to life Piers, his guest, and audience members, allowing intricate control over edits giving the show its signature style humour, without missing a single word or secret from the personality! The four VTs in each episode burst with energy and carry the audience through the guest’s life and career. These are mixed louder than the interview sections to bring rhythm and high levels of emotion to move the interview forward.
Each episode is tailored to reflect the celebrity interviewed, with the recognisable and unique glossy style of the Life Stories format to arrive at the programme we know and love.
